work habits
developing quality work habits is an important component of each student's educational experience. in order to best prepare themselves for academic success, all students should strive to arrive to class on time, have any absences excused by a parent or guardian, be on-task and productive during class time, pay attention and participate during lessons and activities, complete all assigned work, demonstrate respect for others, attend flex time when in need of assistance, and limit cell-phone usage only to times where required or permitted.
assessment
getting feedback on one's learning is an integral component of the learning process for all students.
in addition to regular summative assessments provided in class, after quizzes and tests, throughout the year, students will also be required to reflect on their own learning by completing a self-assessment near the end of each term.
this will be done with specific reference to the curricular competencies for a given grade level and subject area.
